Each July and August, the “A Garden with Wings” exhibit opens at the Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw. This open-air, screened garden includes many native butterflies as well as their host and food plants.
Butterflies at all stages of their life cycle are on display in the exhibit, from larval stages to fully grown butterflies.
By visiting the exhibit, you can learn what native plants to grow in your garden to help feed butterflies and which plants are host for their caterpillars.
The exhibit is only open in the summer. Please check the garden’s website for specific dates and times.
FEES: Admission to the Garden plus $3 per person
ACCESSIBILITY: The exhibit has gravel walkways and may not be suitable for those with difficulty walking or those in wheelchairs.
Visitors with mobility needs may check in by calling the Gardens upon arrival or speak to a Garden team member stationed outside of the Butterfly House.
