Dahlonega Butterfly Farm and Winery

Dahlonega Butterfly Farm is family-friendly, pet-friendly, and located just outside the Dahlonega Square. They’re also one of the only Butterfly farms in Georgia that allows you to feed the butterflies on their property. The Dahlonega Butterfly Farm is also a tasting room for Buckley Vineyards, located in Ellijay, Georgia.

Sip and Stroll

For adults, this farm offers a Sip and Stroll experience. You get to experience wines from Buckley Vineyards while strolling through their butterfly gardens. This must be booked in advance.

Picnicking

It’s the perfect place for a picnic! Bring a picnic and enjoy lunch in one of the designated picnic areas. Just be sure to clean up after yourselves. For large groups, you can rent a pavilion.

Indoor Flight House

The 900 square-foot indoor flight house has hundreds of butterflies for you to enjoy. The walkway is paved and wheelchair accessible. You can even feed the butterflies using a nectar stick.

Caterpillar Hut

View the life cycle of butterflies up close and personal at the hut. Chrysalises are on display and sometimes you’ll get to see a butterfly emerge.

Nature Trails

We have lots of trails to explore and you can look for our garden gnomes. You can get a gnome scavenger hunt sheet to make it even more fun.

Kids Play Area

This farm has a play area with hula hoops, hopscotch, buckets and pails, and more.
