
This open-air exhibit runs from early June to late August daily. They feature a wide variety of native butterflies surrounded by colorful host plants. Visitors can also purchase these plants to start their own butterfly garden. You can buy nectar to feed the butterflies!
Chattahoochee Nature Center also hosts events during this exhibit, like Datenight, Photography workshops, and a butterfly festival. There is something for the whole family to enjoy.
The enclosure is outdoor air and may be closed during bad weather. Information about each butterfly is on a printed card in the enclosure.
Visitors can purchase butterfly host and food plants directly from the Center after their visit.
The Center also holds a Flying Colors Butterfly Festival each year in June with butterfly releases, pollinator games, food, the butterfly encounter, live entertainment, and a plant sale.
FEES: Included with a general admission. Purchase in advance to secure a date and time for your visit.
ACCESSIBILITY: The pathways in the enclosure are compacted gravel crush. The rows are a bit narrow
