Located in Rotary Park Environmental Center, this house is maintained by volunteers from the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife. They offer free tours three times a week.
The house is one of the premier attractions in Cape Coral and features many native Florida butterfly species, including the Florida State Butterfly, the Zebra Longwing.
Access to the Butterfly House is limited to free guided tours, which are currently being offered on Monday, Friday, and Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m.
The house is named in honor of Thomas J. Allen, a wildlife research biologist and wildlife artist. Allen passed away in 2010.
