The annual exhibit of butterflies at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell features hundreds of native butterflies and the colorful nectar plants that they feed on. Get a paintbrush soaked in nectar for a chance to feed a butterfly and get a close photo with one.
The enclosure is outdoor air and may close during bad weather. Information on each butterfly can be found on a printed card available in the enclosure. Visitors can purchase butterfly host and food plants directly from the Center after their visit.
The Center also holds a Flying Colors Butterfly Festival each year in June with butterfly releases, pollinator games, food, the butterfly encounter, live entertainment, and a plant sale.
ACCESSIBILITY: The enclosure is set up over bare ground and the rows are narrow. The enclosure is NOT wheelchair accessible.
